This includes swimming pool manikins, such as the Pool Rescue Manikin, or those for open water and surf lifesaving such as the Surf Rescue Manikin. These manikins will help trainers to teach a variety of skills depending on the rescue scenario. The Pool Rescue manikin was designed with assistance from the RLSS UK and tested extensively by their lifeguards and lifeguard trainers and assessors – and the Surf Rescue was a concept created with the help of Surf Life Saving Australia for IRB rescues in rough water.
