Supporting the rescue community is at the heart of everything we do here at Ruth Lee. Since 2017, we have committed to providing equipment or funding to national and international teams who’re in need through our Volunteer Heroes Fund.
Every year we get tons of applications and this year was no different. Although limited to UK applicants only this time round it’s clear that this fund has been welcomed by so many at such difficult times.
It’s always so humbling to see the costs of operations and the on-going needs teams have to ensure they’re ready to save lives. As you can imagine, it’s an incredibly difficult and heart-wrenching task to work through each application – every team is of course worthy of support and we always try out best to ensure the funding stretches are far as it can to help as many people as it can.
